PIANO & KEYBOARD TUITION

OUT-REACH CLASSES

Children not only learn a new skill through music but continue to develop and improve in other

areas such as memory, co-ordination skills, endurance and pattern recognition which is useful for maths.

​

With outreach classes throughout schools in the Norteast children are given the opportunity to attain these skills. 

 

Suitable for complete beginners and older children who want to have fun furthering their skills in piano and theory.

Performance is encouraged during group classes which increases motivation for learning and confidence

amongst peers.

Understanding the settings on the electric keyboard.

Exploring different sounds and pitches - recognise sound of orchestral instruments

Melodic development - Use of solfege using boomwhackers

Learning notation through fun games, enabling students to read music

Introduction of major scales - playing sharps and flats

Encouraging team-work through music quizzes and group interaction

Theory worksheets to enhance learning

Popular song choices to learn and perform!

Examinations based on RIAM / ABRSM syllabus
